Twin Brooks District and Nature Park
The Twin Brooks Nature Park, located at 119 St and Twin Brooks Way, is a 2004 constructed park with distinct hills covered in prairie grasses. It offers residents a chance to explore trees, bushes, and flowers, including drumlunds representing glacial features. Accessible top-of-the-bank trails bordering the Twin Brooks community allow residents to enjoy the Whitemud and Blackmud Creek ravines.
The Pointe provides an opportunity for a deeper nature experience, reflection, and enjoyment for hikers from 4 observation benches. It encourages families to enjoy biking, kiting, sledding, walking pets, going jogging, playing games, and many other activities to appreciate nature.

NATURE WALKS
Guided walks are held during the spring and fall seasons and occasionally at others. Keep an out for impromptu events like these on our events page or by following us on social media. The guided walks are held within the District Park along the top-of-the-bank trail network. The park serves as a meeting point for many walks and nature-oriented programs and events run by the Twin Brooks Community League.
HIKING IN THE WHITE- MUD CREEK RAVINE
It is important to come prepared for the weather and for walking on informal paths and uneven surfaces, particularly when we are
going into the ravine environment. Hiking shoes, hats, sunscreen, insect repellent, and water are all essentials when going hiking. You may bring along binoculars and cameras to get a better look at wild animals and plants and to take home some memories. You can access the latest version of the map here.

PARK STEWARDSHIP
NATURALIZATION PLANTING
The students’ dedication ensures the park supports a high diversity of plants and animals, contributing to visitor enjoyment. It also acts as an important buffer between residential areas and the natural environments of the nearby Whitemud and Blackmud
Creek ravines. The project emphasizes the importance of maintaining and re-establishing natural areas within the city.

LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT (LRT)
The LRT Capital Line South Extension is currently being built, and will link the north and south parts of the City. Twin Brooks will have a station built on 111 Street, between avenues 9 & 12.
The Twin Brooks Community League aims to be a conduit for residents and members to the City of Edmonton and other appropriate personnel regarding LRT concerns. The Twin Brooks Community League has a Board representative on the Capital Line LRT Community Advisory Committee to help support this goal.

Twin Brooks is very fortunate to have a Public Health Centre located within our community. The Twin Brooks Public Health Centre is located adjacent to George P. Nicholson School. Parking is at the rear of the school and access to the second floor is through the Public Health Centre marked entrance.
